Wonderful group of people. I was apprehensive about going but I needn’t have worried. I was made really welcome, the facilities were great and it was a real treat to be with people who love quilting. The group appeared to be for people of all abilities. There were even quilting essentials to buy should you need them or had forgotten anything. Can’t wait till the next group.

Sewing Enthusiast

I am passionate about creating things, sewing and knitting in particular. Having over 50 years sewing experience, learning on my Grandma's knee, I have accrued a vast knowledge of sewing. I'm always looking for new things to sew and enjoy exploring new creative ideas.

I love to make anything with a sewing machine. From dressmaking, including lingerie and corsets; patchwork and quilting; soft furnishings; bags and accessories, if it can be sewn on a machine I'll have a go.

In October 2024, I opened my own bricks and mortar store in Penistone, Sheffield, selling haberdashery, quilting tools, fabric and now embroidery thread. I am aiming to bring the best quality at competitive prices to my fellow sewists and am now offering this to online customers.
